The zoo was a nice interlude on our recent family vacation. We spent one morning walking through and it was really enjoyable. It was raining a little but that wasn't a detractor. Some of the animals weren't out and about but that was ok too. It was a relaxing and enjoyable morning. The zoo is free and a great part of the St. Louis landscape.

Many of the animals had the look about them of needing to be repainted.
