Since RPP specializes in lever-action upgrade components covering Marlin, Rossi, Winchester 94, and Henry models, it was only natural that we try our hand at bringing these two brands together in our typical Shoot On DIY fashion. Our platform for this build is the Henry Big Boy X (model #H012X) chambered in .44 Magnum/.44 Special.
Probably read most of the posts on the M3000. Trying to get one since mid-December 2021, #31930 (bronze Ceracote w/wood). I’ve seen a lot of posts about the Stoeger extractor being weak. My experience/belief with other automatics (shotguns, handguns and rifles) is that the spent shell casing pushes the bolt/carrier back.Had at least 6-7 FTE/Stove pipes out of 50. Enough to warrant some upgrades. The guns has about 200 rounds through it including about 50 buckshot. Ordering the benelli extractor/spring kit. Loosening the nut made the failure come back immediately. We have worked on over 100 Stoeger M3000/3500s this year, and have not seen any consistent weak points. There was one that had extraction/ ejection issues from day one, and two that had trigger doubling issues out of the box.The M3000 is a tiny bit more accurate with slugs than the M2. The M3000 weighs a little more and that weight is a little more forward which I do not like. It can also have the stock shortened easier and the handguard is longer, both can be nice for smaller and larger shooters.

The three M3000's that I had all had issues extracting the cheaper ammo. The Benelli extractor helps but even my M2 doesn't run Estate or Rio like it does Winchester AA or Remington STS ammo. I know the extractor will work (thanks @jjwestbrook ) and the extended loader/carrier from TTI will also fit. I’m wondering about safeties, charging handles, trigger guards, etc.

I recommend swapping out the factory extractor with a Benelli extractor, it is the same fit. I had issues ejecting low base shells, and even high brass in certain brands (Kent, Hevi-Metal).
