I like turn based tactical games and the ones I'd recommend are (not necessarily similar to Battle Brothers): Football, Tactics & Glory - one of the best tactical games there is, you specialize players and try to counter your opponents.. feels good when everything starts clicking and you build up your squad.
I may have found the best gladiator seed. I just found this very cool Gladiator origin seed. The spawning city in connected in a closed loop with 6 villages, 1 citadel and another Southern city.
