So back to ur question, the simple answer for an average player (i am one with all weapons except the spear since i used that for almost 2k hours combined between nioh 1 and 2) is that blunt weapons deal more/better ki dmg compared to bladed weapons, u will feel this when using a weapon that has both variants, like axe/hammer, or fist/claws.
