On December 27 Escape from Tarkov developers released a patch 0.14.0.0. Among many other changes, there is a new map called Ground Zero. It's a relatively small map, located in the middle of Tarkov. In this guide we will show you all the extracts for PMC and Scav players on the map. Ground Zero is a city map with a lot of buildings.

SCAV ai will not have a pouch slot. SCAV player will have a pouch slot. PMC characters will have a dogtag on their body, there is some customization they can make to their character after a higher level. That's after they are dead. He's asking about when they are still alive.

Use your voiceline, if they dont respond you can 90% of the time asume they are a pmc or a potential shady scav. It can be difficult however there are some tell tell signs. AI scavs always spawn in certain places around the map. They dont randomly walk around the map. AI will tend to walk around, aim their weapon and check their mags etc. They also run and come to an abrupt stop for no particular reason. They also shout when player scavs or pmcs are close by.

Its a little hard to tell when you're new, but BEARS and USEC have different base clothes than Scavs. They added a whole slew of clothes so you cant just rely on the base models to determine PMC from Scav. You really just gotta scope them for a minute and watch their behavior. Reply. Moel24.
