It is tension adjustable and seems to fit guitars with neck widths from 1 11/16 to 1 7/8 inches at the nut.I have used it on Martins, Taylors, Gibsons, and Melbournes with out any buzzing or other problems. So unless you are capoing above the fifth fret, what you need is a 5" radius capo. I don't know if anyone makes a stock 5" radius capo, but you could custom order one from several places. What a lovely little unit! I ordered it for 16" for when my HD28 arrives, but it works great on my 12" Takamine beater too, so it's not just gonna be teasing me over the coming months haha. But the thing I like about the Collins vs Elliot Elite is the smoothness of the thumb screw motion.
