I am also a snowboarder and new miata owner.As far as major stuff, the transmission made it past 360,000 miles, and the first motor made it past 412,000 miles. Fuel pump issues surfaced after 260,000 miles. Rear brake adjustment is different on the Miata than a lot of cars. It doesn't cost anything but a few minutes every few months.Other than an electric version in 2023, I would expect a new generation in 2026. Since the NB, each generation matures on the 6’s with the final year being on the 5’s. NB was 99-05, NC was 06-15, and ND is 16-present. The NA is a fluke with 89 to 97 and no 98 model.
